Jillian Bashi is a Licensed Social Worker with over 12 years experience in the field of mental health. Jillian obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2004 and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University. She has worked in outpatient and residential settings and is experienced working with adults, children, adolescents, families and couples.
Jillian utilizes an eclectic approach and tailors treatment to fit the individual need of the client. She believes it’s important to have a safe and nurturing environment in order for therapy to be most effective. After the completion of a thorough assessment, Jillian then utilizes a variety of approaches that include major elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, person centered and family systems therapies to help clients work towards their own personal goals. She has experience with various issues which include but not limited to anxiety and panic attacks, bi-polar disorder, depression, communication difficulties, bereavement and grief, low self esteem, childhood trauma and family/behavior problems.
