In these cases, she has worked effortlessly to ensure that plans are created and students feel more at ease on accomplishing what they are more than capable of achieving!
LaToya also has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, ranging in age from youth to 59. In this capacity, she worked with the individuals and their support circle to create meaningful and obtainable goals using person centered planning. Along with Person-Centered Therapy, she also uses cognitive behavioral approach as well as motivational techniques.
LaToya believes that it is important to stay grounded, especially in stressful situations. She is an avid listener and desires to be a light to help individuals overcome obstacles. One quote that rings true to her is from Kobe Bryant who stated that “the most important thing is to try to inspire people so that they can be great at whatever they want to do…. great things come from hard work, and everything negative, pressure and challenges, are all an opportunity for (you) to rise”
