Introduction:
Mackenzie Wolf is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Wayne State University, after obtaining an undergraduate degree in psychology from Indiana Institute of Technology. For the better part of ten years, Mackenzie has worked with children in a school setting as a school counselor, providing essential mental health and academic support. She has diverse experience in various mental health settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home-based services. Mackenzie has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment difficulties, and grief.
Mackenzie specializes in treating children, adolescents, and young adults and guiding them through the unique challenges they face during these critical developmental stages She takes a strengths-based, person-centered, and solution-focused approach to therapy, guided by the belief that people are naturally resourceful, resilient, and capable of generating solutions to their own problems when supported in a safe environment. With a passion for helping clients discover their talents and live their lives to the fullest, Mackenzie employs a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based techniques.
Currently, Mackenzie is pursuing certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), play therapy, and substance abuse counseling. Regardless of the method of treatment, she is dedicated to providing a nonjudgmental listening ear and a counseling experience that is commitment to my client-centered approach to ensure that therapy is meaningful impact in her clients lives..
