Introduction:
Life is hard sometimes. Occasionally, you might need a little help to sort things out. That’s where I come in. We’ll work together to get you feeling better and learning ways to help you stay better over time. It’s a partnership of equals, built on trust. I employ a lot of different methods because as no single therapist can fit every client, I believe no single therapeutic framework can fully fit every issue.
Now, just as life is sometimes very difficult, therapy can be tough too. You will need some courage, grit, and patience with yourself and your process. As the saying goes, “nothing worth having comes easy.” (Roosevelt) but the good news is, you have a partner. I will walk with you every step of the way.
Some issues resolve quickly, some take a little longer. But therapy does not have to be forever and frankly, I can think of a lot of more enjoyable things to do. Not that we can’t have fun in therapy…we can! But therapy is work; and we will need to roll up our proverbial shirt sleeves and get to work if we expect to accomplish anything.
