Lindsay Simmons, LMSW

Lindsay earned her Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago after receiving her Bachelor of Social Work with a specialization in child welfare at Oakland University. Lindsay has pursued her passions by working in a school setting with children who have social, emotional, or behavioral concerns along with those diagnosed with developmental disorders. She has worked with a variety of children and adolescents who have experienced depression, anxiety, mood disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, anger, poor social or communication skills, low self-esteem, and developmental disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Lindsay deeply believes that, with support and guidance, each individual has the ability to overcome issues in their lives. In her practice, Lindsay’s therapeutic style is one of warmth, empathy, and genuine connection. She uses a variety of therapeutic interventions, including aspects from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, strengths-based, and person-centered approaches while assisting individuals in developing tools for positive change. Lindsay is dedicated to working collaboratively with clients through their journey to find peace, healing, and happiness.
